so i went with phil and beth (not listee beth) to this puppet show.
we went to papa gino's for pizza first, and they got caught up on my comics,
as always happens when we go get pizza.
the pizza was tasty, they liked the comics...
on to the puppet show:
first of all, the definition of puppet has grown very loose. there was only like, 3 acts with actual puppets.
it was funny, one of them was trying to be all deep, but just ended up looking frightfully dumb. at least the other one's were trying to be funny, it's ok when you try to be funny and fail, but when you try to be deep and fail... oh, that's just not good. the people laughed at these acts, like, way too much... as if there were some inside joke that we weren't a part of. the last one was pretty good though...
there were musical interludes by this guy who was funny looking, and wasn't too great.
there was this one song he wrote about a friggin streetlamp that he saw one time! he started singing it, and a few lines in, me and beth shot each other this look that said, in a way "why did he write this?" which was just funny.
he was really weird looking, and he changed his wardrobe before each musical interlude. a little bit later, phil asked me if i wanted to go to a tmbg show in boston tomorrow night! i'm going to see tmbg! they kick lots and lots of ass, like, enough to choke something that has a gigantic throat! woo!
in other news...
happy birfday to nathan! woo-hoo!
