hey, i found super smash bros at two places in the mall
so if it's not at one, i can go to the other
despite the ten dollar price difference

bought books
kerouac's big sur
burroughs' junky
and ginsberg's plutonian ode
books are good
of course, it'll be a long while before i'm done reading all the ones i have
which is not to say i've got a huge bookcase full of them
but i've got, like, ten waiting
though i didn't go all the way through them, so there might be more
i've got three pages til the next section of walden
i need to find dirk gently's holistic detective agency
because i have the sequel to it
and it'd be nice to read them in order, ya know?

i got some chocolates too
and yet, still no yarn and hooks
which is what i went out for
not that there's a store in the mall that sells them
i was hoping though
so i'll have to look in the plazas, i hafta go there anyway
another gift certificate, ya see.

there's noone around.

lauren used my screen name last night
i apologize for any confusion
or offense

the inauguration
what a bummer, eh?

i've been putting a lot of thought into what to edit out of gregore.
each day, forming new ideas, refining the lines along which i am to cut before i actually do anything.
cause it's delicate. you don't want to cut out anything that's really good, and that means you have to look at things really carefully to decide what is gonna go.
i don't edit dan's bits, except to fix spelling. i leave it to him to decide whether to rewrite something or what of his needs rephrasing. it's not my place to say, even if we *do* share the work.
also, i'm cutting out where it gets too serious, and sounds bad, so i have to find out where it starts that. then i might have to re-write bits of it that i don't like, or make it easier for dan to continue writing from a certain point. yet it's not as complicated as it would seem. easy really, these decisions can be made in a snap, cause it's just a matter of judging what you like and what you don't.
i should get to it soon.

i think i moved a page in walden.
i should really read more.
and get a job.
you know, i was just laying there in bed last night, and it was so lonely.
though now that i'm trying to wake up my brain, i'm a bit happier in the daytime.
um. something.
bleh.

hey everyone
my cousin is gonna get married to his girlfriend
it delights me to see things like this
just wonderful, really
i'm such a terrible romantic
hopeless, hopeless

ah, but congratulations to jeremie and laura

may her crazy brother not cause trouble for anyone ever again.
(he slashed jeremie's tires one day after going nuts on his own family)
damn them marines, eh?

i mean, i talk here a lot about me being lonely and all that other sort of crap
and that's true, i am, and i'd love to be in love
but that isn't taking anything away form me being happy for them now.

and also for phil and beth.
man, phil and beth are my favorite couple.
they're just so awesome, ya know?

meanwhile, i want to watch monty python, dammit!
without my vcr making horrid buzzing noises!
and sarah and lauren should be back from california now!
not because they should, but because i want them to be!

i should also be reading walden, buying yarn and hooks
and getting a job.

i'm trying to get my brain started again, and i'm doing okay, i think.
it's a long road, but i can feel it already.
i'm gonna try to do some comics.
finally.
i'll also, i think, try-
are you ready for this?
-try to write.

i haven't in so long, i think i must've lost
whatever level of brain function required to do so
thing's have just been brewing in me lately
and i think it's time that i tried something
dan and i have yet to finish gregore
although, i would think he's still a bit too busy for that
though i'd love to edit it and get it started again.
god, to think of how this novel has grown with us.
we started it when we were in 11th grade.

but enough about that.
i'm not ready yet to begin writing again.
this is a process, and i've only just begun.
i'll mail him with it sometime.
it's like crosby, stills, nash, and young
in a way, that is, if you look at it's history.

we started it in 11th,
then i found it in my papers, typed it out, fixed bits of it
made it more one work than that of two writers
then sent it to dan, and we worked on it until i kept it too long
and made it, what i consider to be too serious for itself
and got dan mad at me for not having enough back and forth between us
which is wholly understandable
then, amidst life, it fell throuhg the cracks again
and once more, i shall pick it up and say
"hey, let's write"

i need to do some visiting at namezero, to meet the requirements
then let it go til next month, when i again have nothing to do on it
ugh, what a hassle, eh?

think i'm gonna get moving on that now.
hello
i'm blogging
dunno why
don't really have anything to blog,
but i'll make something up.

eddie izzard was on the 2am showing of that crappy jay leno thing.
so that was good.
he's in one of them new vampire movies
the one that isn't dracula 2000
eddie izzard is awesome!
agree! now!

me and davey are talkin bout a listee party
ah, it sounds like such fun
i don't post enough

i need to buy yarn and some hooks
i think beth is right about her big hook with the two sides
two people *could* use it at the same time
this comes to mind cause my big hook is bigger than hers
and i need to get one more of that size
also one like sarah's
of course, i *could* just get a whole set of my own
and give the others back to my grandmother

i should go to bed soon
ya know, the thought crossed my mind
while i was thinking of things to do at the listee party
that i could teach bridgie to crochet
cause, ya know, she said she wanted to learn
though there are listees far more skilled than i with a hook
at least i would hope so

i should go to bed
i don't think i mentioned that already
but i should

mr. t is funny
very funny
as a concept, character,
just everything
and on that note
i go now

1/16/2001

there's a spark of silliness that i used to have
not that i'm not silly now
or at least funny
i was just moreso before, i think
and there was a spark to it
in my opinion, anyway

i was watching inside the actor's studio
and mike meyers was on
he and james lipton were talking about silliness
and how mike's dad valued it very highly

and i just kinda started to feel that spark
not that i've got it back, but i was able to recognize it
i could feel what i felt when i was writing a really good story
i dont know where it went
or what it is that i've got now
but... something.

i brought majora's mask back to the video place today
it was late by two days
and just when i was starting to figure out what needed to be done
i have one of them crazy kirby games out now.
as much as it doesn't really go where it could and be so much better
it's still an alright game.
a bit slow, that's for sure.

my parents both told me to get a haircut
which seriously made me not want to get a haircut at all
eventhough i had decided i was going to
now i've worked myself up so that i kinda feel like it again
they'd just better not say anything to mess that up
it's just, ya know, my hair, my choice.
don't confuse this with me not being able to take advice
i can do that pretty well, i think
but orders, i'm not so good with, or-
"you need to do this"
because i really don't.

i don't think i mentioned this here, so i will
i finished the hat i was crocheting yesterday!
oh boy!

this weekend, as beth put into words for me, was draining
the most draining weekend of her life, she said
and i'd tend to agree with that.
like, there was so much to do and deal with
and it all just took as big a toll as it could

all ending today, with snow that, as beth pointed out
had an oppressive feel to it.
which is some kind of ironic,
considering it's martin luther king's birthday.
and a visit to the optometrist for me.
i'm trying to find a pair of very flansy frames,
but that hasn't worked out as of yet.
they're going to put an order in for frames that i can look at
and if i don't like them, they'll send em back.
i hopes they come up with something good.
otherwise, it'll be me and sarah, out looking in oldclothes stores
which wouldn't be bad, but she's in california right now.
if all else fails, there's a pair that belonged to someone in my family
and i might be able to have them put lenses in them, or something of the sort
either way, i'm kinda out of luck if they don't make them anymore
and can't cut the lens to fit the frames.

there was a party the other night, which i would have gladly attended
had i known about it
see, my parents were called and invited, but either didn't think to ask me
(and i woulda been welcome there, i used to work with most of the people in attendance)
or thought i was asleep, which i may well have been, i've been sleeping odd hours lately
but that really woulda taken the edge off of the weekend
it's kind of a shame that i missed it, ya know?
ah well, there'll be other parties, i'm pretty sure.
oh, but this one was so well timed!
*sigh*

you know... i think i'm gonna have a waffle.
